It was so lovely to spend time with one of my Resilient Homestead alumni, Anna, in her beautiful garden overflowing with winter squash and corn! In this video, Anna talks about what she got out of my Resilient Homestead Program.
Not only was she able to come away with an incredible site plan that will give her guidance for years to come, but Anna mentions how beneficial it was to connect to a community of like-minded people.
In her first season since taking the program, Anna installed a rainwater harvesting system off of her greenhouse, found a bee-keeping mentor through the program, and set up her bee yard. Next year, she’ll be planting more pollinator habitat for her bees, experimenting more in her greenhouse and planting guilds around her lilacs and roses.
